Launchpad reoganization

We have re organized the Launchpad into a project group. There are now separate projects for the Model 1 code, the FabInterpreter, FabStudio and other Fab@Home related projects. This will allow us to organize better as we develop more code. You can access each subproject from the fabathome project group or from their individual Launchpad pages.

Fab@School project wins MacArthur "Reimagining Learning" Award.

The Fab@School project is a collaboration between Cornell's Fab@Home project team, The University of Virginia Curry School of education, and other collaborators. The project aims to advance STEM education by incorporating Digital Fabrication into elementary school curriculum. Five projects were selected from amongst 800 submissions worldwide.

The Future of Food Printing

8/20/09 - The French Culinary Institute and Cornell students are working together to develop a materials platform for printing food on the Fab@Home. In early October, a Model 2 will be delivered to the New York City culinary school. Chefs David Arnold and Nils Noren will be applying their expertise to devise novel material formulations for printing a wide range of food items.
